Our Commitment: Driving Impact and Empowering Communities

At Jugal's, we aspire to be change leaders, shaping a better future for all. In line with this commitment, we have set forth the following goals and initiatives:

Equal Representation: By 2025, we are dedicated to achieving equal representation of men and women in our workplace. To foster this change, we have taken steps to encourage women to join our team, including appointing a Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) trained manager. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered.
Women's Well-being: We recognize and prioritize the unique needs of our women employees. As part of our commitment to their well-being, we provide paid menstrual leaves of two days per month, acknowledging and supporting their health and personal circumstances.
Beyond Employees: Through our "Beyond Employees" program, we express gratitude to our long-tenured employees by offering free post-secondary education for their daughters. This initiative aims to ensure their daughters receive an education, empowering them to pursue their dreams and avoid early marriages.
Organizational Excellence: We are dedicated to organizing our business and setting an example for other mishti shops. By demonstrating efficient operations and smooth transitions, we strive to inspire positive change within the industry, fostering growth and professionalism.
Employment Rights: We believe in upholding the fundamental rights of all workers. Through continuous dialogue, education, and communication, we are committed to transitioning all workers to basic employment rights such as Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI), ensuring their financial security and well-being.
Workplace Safety: The safety of our employees is paramount. We are actively implementing workplace safety training for all employees, ensuring a secure working environment where everyone can thrive

Jugal's Literature Festival

Additionally, we organized the inaugural Jugal's Mishti Literature Festival in February 2023, the world's first-ever literature festival dedicated to mishti. This two-day convention brought together leading minds in the industry and beyond, exploring the history, legacy, economics, and socio-cultural impact of the dairy-dependent mishti industry.

Mishti Research Program

Furthermore, we are proud to introduce the Mishti Industry Research Program, a pioneering initiative that brings together esteemed members of our Advisory Board and independent researchers worldwide. This program aims to create a publicly accessible repository of data, case studies, insights, and stories centered around the mishti industry. The research findings will be released in three phases over the next year, with the first publication launched during the festival.
